Fix My Tinnitus
In order to fix my Tinnitus I had to first find the cause as the different causes require different treatments. For example, cleaning the wax build up out of the ear would not fix my Tinnitus if it is caused by damaged blood vessels in the ear. So, if you are suffering from Tinnitus the first thing you should do, is contact your physician to determine the cause of it.
Once you know what is causing the ringing in your ears you can decide on what remedies may work the best for you. Now let us take a look at the different causes and the remedies for each.
First, the most common one, exposure to loud noises for extended periods of time, as little as 90 decibels can damage the nerves in the ear. Fixing this type of Tinnitus is quite simple, Avoid loud noise’s for extended periods of time unless you wear a pair of quality ear plugs. Sound simple but you would be surprised at how many people will say, fix my Tinnitus yet turn around and go to a concert without any kind of ear protection.
As we age, we begin to suffer from hearing loss which brings on Tinnitus, as I grow older the ringing in my ears gets louder and louder so, I search for ways to fix my Tinnitus. Unfortunately with old age there is no real fix, about all that can be done is to start wearing a hearing aid. By wearing a hearing aid you amplify the external sounds thus, masking the ringing that is taking place in your ears. It won’t make it go away but it can make it a whole lot easier to live with.
Fixing Tinnitus, can be more difficult when it is due to malformed or damaged blood vessels in the ear area of the head. The ringing or noise’s you are hearing are coming from turbulent blood flow through the damaged or malformed blood vessels. In these cases the only way to fix the problem may be surgical procedures to repair the damage or malformed blood vessels.
Another common cause of Tinnitus is a wax build up in the ear, to fix Tinnitus when it is being caused by a wax build up in the ear can be as simple as using ear drops designed to break it up and flush it out, if however the wax is impacted, you should have your doctor or other qualified medical practitioner flush the wax from your ear. It is always best to have it done by a professional as you could damage your ear drum if you attempt to remove the impacted wax yourself.
One other cause to look at is ringing in the ears caused by taking medication for some other problem then, a short while after beginning to take the medication you begin to hear the ringing. This is a good sign that the medication is causing the problem. If the medication is prescribed by a physician you should not stop taking it rather, consult with your doctor to see if there is an alternative medication that will do the job without causing the ringing in your ears.
