Eczema on the face can be very confidence bruising, especially as it is in public view of everyone and is difficult to treat because of the sensitive nature of the skin on the face. However there are a number of natural remedies that you can use to help alleviate some of the symptoms of eczema and moisten the really dry areas. Here’s a couple of treatments that really can help.
Facial Eczema Treatment – Topical Oils
Extensive studies have been done to try and show the relationship between certain oils and their power to alleviate symptoms of eczema. The most widely known oil is tea tree oil. It has the ability to clear up eczema patches, reduce itching and redness. It should be applied topically to the skin and can be used on a daily basis. Tea tree oil is widely available in all health stores.
Another oil called peppermint is especially good at reducing the itchiness of the eczema. The oil can be picked up at any health food store, alternatively you can buy various peppermint oil products online for fairly cheap. All you have to do to apply it to the skin is to rub a drop of the substance over the affected area.
Patchouli is another oil that you can buy over the counter or online and is very useful for controlling outbreaks of eczema as it works as an antiseptic.
Facial Eczema Treatment – Oatmeal Bath
This remedy is effective on other areas of the skin as well as the face. Simply soak in a hot bath with oatmeal that is wrapped up in some sort of bag so that the mess doesn’t go everywhere. This makes the skin smooth and supple and is really effective at reducing the constant itching and redness of the condition. When you get out of the bath you can then apply some aloe vera gel to the area for greater relief from the itching.

For a more Permanent Solution
The above methods are great for relieving itching, redness and patches but they don’t attack the root of the problem. You need to start looking at what you can do to improve your kidney, liver and intestinal function to lower toxicity levels if you want a more permanent solution. This will involve checking your diet, possibly detoxifying vital organs along with many other tests to see what is the root cause for your eczema. If you want to learn more, I always recommend the eczema natural cure book called eczema free forever. There is review about the book here.

Our son takes baths in olive oil and baking soda. Both of these are natural and soothing with out the burn! The best thing for his skin has been his Belly Boost children’s chewable probiotic though and I definitely recommend this!
